Audio Books
I downloaded the Overdrive App from Apple and then "checked out" the following books from the Appleton Public Library. Once checked out, they get downloaded by chapter so you can choose to download the whole book at once or save space, and just download a chapter at a time. In 7 days, the book "disappears". *Make sure you choose the mp3 audiobook, WMA's do not work. There are not many available right now, but I'm sure, as they become more popular, there will be many more.

9. Magic Piano ($.99) - Simulates a piano. It has a songbook of prerecorded songs for students to play along. It also allows 2 students to play duets.

The iPad will change the way that information is delivered via textbooks. Now instead of have only text and a few graphics, students will be also be able to look at animations and probably have links to a vast array or resources. Although teachers may feel a little daunted with the new technology, students will find it very easy to use as it is already what they are probably doing at home.
